Akira Konaka selected as the 2016 recipient of the CAP-TRIUMF Vogt Medal for Contributions to Subatomic Physics
TRIUMF Scientist and UVic Adjunct Professor Akira Konaka has been selected as the 2016 recipient of the CAP-TRIUMF Vogt Medal for Contributions to Subatomic Physics. The Medal was awarded "for his outstanding contributions to the T2K long-baseline neutrino experiment, including his leadership in establishing the collaboration.” The UVic T2K group shared in the recent 2016 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.
